Advanced Driving Courses

How can Bucks and Oxon Driver Training help you Become a Better Driver?

The aim of Bucks & Oxon Driver Training is to improve your driving ability. Your safety and that of other road users depends on your awareness of what is happening around you and your ability to control the position and speed of your vehicle relative to everything else on the road.

A collision, or even a near miss, is often the result of a lapse in driving skill or concentration. Bucks and Oxon Driver Training aims to help you become a better driver by increasing your awareness of all the factors that affect your driving – your own capabilities, personality, the characteristics of your vehicle, road, traffic, and weather conditions.

Advanced driving uses a system of car control, which is a methodical approach to hazards. This increases your safety by giving you more time to react in complex situations.

Both instructors with Bucks and Oxon Driver Training are fully qualified Advanced Instructors, covering Aylesbury, Oxford and West Hertfordshire areas.

By the end of the course you will be able to drive with precision and awareness, anticipate danger created by other drivers’ mistakes, and so allow a big enough safety margin to avoid getting into trouble. This makes you confident, decisive and better able to make good progress.

Working to Clear Objectives

The content of the course will always be based upon your own level of existing ability and experience and according to what you wish to get out of the programme. This course can be completed on a one to one basis in your own vehicle, or to make it more cost effective, Bucks and Oxon Driver Training can provide input on a two to one basis. You can even complete the training in one of our our dual controlled training cars.

Once we have had the opportunity to assess you, your trainer will inform you how many sessions will be necessary to bring you up to a higher standard of driving and so reduce your risk of being involved in a collision.
